National Disability Services (NDS), in association with the NSW Government, will today launch projectABLE in NSW.

An ageing population and a rise in the numbers of individuals accessing disability services means there will be approximately 2 million Australians’ in need of support to live out their everyday lives by 2030.

projectABLE has been designed to inspire and recruit younger generations to investigate a career in this field in order to respond to growing demand for the sector’s services.

A work placement program, projectABLE will provide a number of secondary and tertiary students the opportunity to gain the hands on experience they need to evaluate their options as well as provide a pathway to employment within the sector.
